Today was quite an action packed day. Spent the whole day preparing this wonderful feast for neighbours coming over, spent the entire morning scouring for a place that sells ground lamb meat for kababs (which was not fruitful at all considering the many places I've scoped out...not quite a varied selection of goods in this place), and ate dinner with my wonderful neighbours.

I am now stuffed with this wonderful custard pie that I made with strawberries and blueberries. I found the recipe in my mom's old book where she wrote down all her favorite recipes. I always wanted to know how she made that tart. I just found out!!

Almost finished reading "The World According to Garp". It's been a pretty interesting read so far. John Irving has a unique writing style. I've read his other book "A Prayer for Owen Meany". I actually think TWATG is going to be non-redemptive. We'll see if my prediction is correct.

So, this is my first blog (quite obvious from the title).

It's interesting how I seem to do most of my thinking at night. I don't think I would ever be able to write during the daytime, especially when the whole world seems to me like an ant farm...except these ants can make noise (loud ones too).

I have recently begun to admire a band called AFI. My Incubus infatuation has gone out the window. They've got a style of their own these people. I crave them as often as I crave baskin robbin's world class chocolate ice cream...(*slurp*...can never get enough) BUT unlike listening to AFI, I usually limit my intake of ice cream.

Human beings are strange creatures. People can completely surprise the hell outta me. Some people who you think are close friends turn out to be complete bullshitters, and strangers can be your best friends. Why on earth am I interested in psychology? Simple...to try and discover what makes humans tick!

I miss Dubai...sweaty, humid, hot dubai. Quite good weather for the beach. Note to self: Must go swimming.
